AUSTIN, Texas – Governor Greg Abbott will host the One Pill Kills Summit on Thursday, April 6 at the Texas Medical Association in Austin.
Following his 2023 State of the State Address when he announced the fentanyl crisis as one of his emergency items, Governor Abbott’s One Pill Kills Summit will bring together Texas families, law enforcement, state officials, education leaders, health care professionals, and other fentanyl advocates to raise awareness about the growing fentanyl crisis and collaborate on strategies to save lives. The summit will feature three panels of speakers, highlighting the work Texas has done to address the scourge of fentanyl and discuss ways to strengthen our fight against this deadly drug.
Following the summit, the Governor will make a major announcement at a press conference regarding Texas’ ongoing efforts to protect all Texans from the dangers of fentanyl.
