McAllen, TX – Simon® is pleased to announce Santa visits for families as part of the Simon Santa Photo Experience at La Plaza. Santa arrives on Friday, November 11 and will be available until Christmas Eve across from Zara.
The Santa Photo Experience will remain open Monday – Saturday from 11 AM – 7 PM and 12 – 6 PM on Sunday. Every Tuesday, guests are invited to dress up in their coziest pajamas for PJ photos with Santa! Every Thursday through December 15 will be ugly Christmas Sweater themed! Reservations are encouraged and can be made by clicking here.
La Plaza will host a variety of festive events with Santa this season including:
- Santa’s Arrival Celebration – Friday, November 11 at 6 PM. Help La Plaza welcome Santa as he makes his home in McAllen for the holidays! The event will kick off with a welcome parade featuring the Salvation Army brass band followed by hot chocolate and festive beverages at Santa’s Workshop across from Zara.
- Salvation Army Angel Tree – Friday, November 11. Located next to Santa, the Salvation Army Angel Tree helps provide Christmas gifts throughout the Rio Grande Valley each year. This holiday season, McAllen area residents can give back to their community by purchasing gifts for a child in need and making their season brighter. Last day to donate Wednesday, December 7.
- Cookies and Milk with Santa – Saturday, December 3 from 10 – 11 AM. Everyone on the nice list can join Santa for some delicious Christmas cookies, milk, and festive Santa letter writing!
- Caring Santa® – Sunday, December 4 from 9 AM – 10:30 AM. Children with special needs and their families are invited for a special photo experience with Caring Santa in an environment set up to support the sensory, physical, and other developmental needs of kids with all abilities.
- Pet Photos – Sunday, December 11 from 4 – 6:30 PM. Area-residents are welcome to bring their cute and cuddly canines and furry felines to meet jolly Ol’ St. Nicholas for an adorable photo opp.
