Border Patrol Seizes More Than $3.2M in Narcotics in less Than 48 Hours

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector agents make significant strides in taking hard narcotics off the streets.

Friday and Saturday proved to be a busy day for Rio Grande Valley Sector agents. In two days, agents seized more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine combined in four separate incidents. The narcotics have an estimated value of more than three million dollars.

Border Patrol processed the cases accordingly.

Since October, Rio Grande Valley Sector has seized more than 1900 pounds of methamphetamine and nearly 600 pounds of cocaine. The total value of these seizures is more than $82 million dollars.

The public is encouraged to take a stand against crime in their communities and report suspicious activity at 800-863-9382.
