Mission Tennis Center at Birdwell Park will boost quality of life

Mission, TX- Tennis enthusiasts in the City of Mission have reason to celebrate. Mission city leaders are hosting a ribbon-cutting Tuesday, November 26, 2019 for the Mission Tennis Center at Birdwell Park.
The transformation at Birdwell Park, located at 2400 North Stewart Road, includes the resurfacing and restriping of three existing tennis courts, the construction of 13 new courts, addition of a Musco Lighting System and shaded picnic tables. An 8-foot-wide walking trail was also revitalized, and parking spaces were added.
“The new tennis complex will serve as a wellness center for not only Mission residents, but for visitors who come and participate in the sport of tennis,” Mayor Dr. Armando O’Caña said. “The complex was completely revamped and will provide the City of Mission some great opportunities to host major tournaments.”
