Hidalgo County Community Service Agency honored a group of Veterans who are part of the Senior Corps Program. Members of the program are community volunteers who enrich their retirement years through significant community service work.

“We have a total of 60 veterans that are volunteers working in community service,” said Hidalgo County Community Service Agency RSVP Project Director Sylvia Sepulveda.

Volunteer Veterans engage in the community in many ways.

“They have not only retired from their careers, but have served our country, and are now serving our community,” said Community Service Agency Executive Director Jaime Lonogoria.
