Palenque Group will open a second location with the best fajitas in Edinburg.

McAllen, TX, November 9, 2018 – The first groundbreaking ceremony for Taco Palenque took place today where the new restaurant will be located at 1414 University Drive in Edinburg, TX, just across from UTRGV.

City of Edinburg Officials, Taco Palenque Officers, The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and the Media gathered to present the inauguration of what will soon be the second location in this city. The restaurant is scheduled to be completed by next May.

Before the groundbreaking, Father Ignacio Tapia officiated the blessings for this new project. Afterward, the Mayor of Edinburg, Richard Molina, expressed the importance of this development and new business in town calling Taco Palenque an exciting and prestigious brand. Taco Palenque’s Owner and CEO conducted a few words expressing “We are a family business, hopefully we will be open this restaurant in May 2019”.

Taco Palenque is known for being a great host; that being said, the Taco P Foodtruck was ready to serve everyone with hot tacos and hot coffee. This quick-service Mexican restaurant has become a household name in South Texas and originally opened the doors of its first location in the ‘Gateway City’ of Laredo, Texas in 1987.  Taco Palenque’s growing success has enabled its founders, the Ochoa family, to continue to provide excellence in customer service, quality food and accomplish their mission of perfectly reproducing the authentic flavors of Mexico into our Texas communities.
