About
Yash Kanodia a.k.a Dhoundhu, is a professional content writer since 2013. He has been writing poetry & proses since he was in 8th standard and hasn’t left the pen till now. He has been part of national and international level events during his education, but chose content writing as a fulltime opportunity to grow big and make his mark on the writing world. He has a poetry book being published in his name, Shades of Mirror, in which he, along with three of his friends, have tried to encapsulate all major human emotions and the harsh reality of the society. He is a food enthusiast and an extremely creative individual, with innovative ideas for all sectors and aims to achieve the highest possible results in return of his hard work, dedication and determination.
Personal Life
Family
He is the youngest son of Mr. Manoj Kumar Kanodia and Mrs. Sunita Kanodia. His elder brother, Pulkit Kanodia, is a Bio-technology PhD student in IOWA State University, Aimes, IOWA State, USA. His family has always supported all his endeavors and was highly supportive in few of his biggest decisions of life like the decision to opt for a media course, after being a science student and choosing content writing, after studying media and specializing in event management.
Interests and Habits
He simply adores sweets and loves to write poetry on human emotions. He prefers writing in the simplest English script, so that it is understandable and relatable to every human being. Other than food and writing, he loves to play football, hockey, foosball and poker. He loves to watch television series of all genres and simply admire comedy. He loves to interact with new people and study different characters to gain experience & learn about new emotions. He has been into event management since 2007 and hasn’t left the exciting life yet.
Incidents
His life has been a series of ups and downs, with some fun moments like when he completely switched his education stream from science to media & communications. All his family members and friends were confused about his decision, except his parents & brother. They were the only supportive individuals in his life. One fun incident was when his father promised him that if he gets 90% in his high school, then he will be given his dream bike. From that day till the day of the exam, he studied extremely hard and was successful in scoring 90.2%; confirming his dream bike. One other time, he was given the chance to prove his food-love in his college fest. He was able to come 1st in Hogathon, a food eating competition, which helped his team to acquire 1st position in the overall event. The food was yuck, but he ate it gloriously. One of the biggest moment in his life was when one of his high school crush asked him to write poetry for her, which was actually the day when he became a writer.
Education
He is a silver medalist in academics from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, in BBA in media and communications. He has a media and communications diploma from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. He has been a part of professional events for three years during his education and has excelled in the art of organizing & managing events.
Achievements
He was awarded a silver medal in academics from Tata Institute of Social Sciences; was a marketing communications in-charge in international-level event, Big Boys Toys Expo; stood 109th in Technothelon, organized by IIT Roorkee; was the hospitality head in COMFEST, an international-level-student-organized school fest; and has topped Research thesis in this third year of BBA.
