No matter how many times we might have worn both of them differently, it is so difficult to decide or even be sure about the fact that these two are different. We are wearing this since we were small, sometimes for a wedding or may be for some other ceremonies and we continue the practice of wearing either of them for the functions we attend and it is so strange that so many of us do not realize the difference between the two. Sometimes we don’t even know that they are different. Yes, indeed, salwar kameez and salwar suits differ from each other. They are different from each other. Well, there are not many differences and sometimes both of these can become an alternative for each other also.

There can be difference between the way of design for both of them or the patterns. For example, salwaars and chudidaars are the two different things. Salwars are the loose pajama like dress with pleats in the upper portion which is also widely spread whereas the chudidars are totally different as they are longer in length and are tightly fitted at the thighs and ankles.

Salwars are considered as to be the most traditional one but chudidaars can be the ones relating to the modern time.

There are so many different kinds of fabrics that are used in making salwar kameez and salwar suits. There is cotton, georgette, synthetic and so many other materials to give them different looks, designs and different patterns etc. The stitching methods might be different for both of them. Well, not much but may be slight. This differentiation can be made when the two differ in their colour combinations, the way these have been designed, the way they are worn, sometimes with dupatta or sometimes even not. There can be so many other differences as to how the two parts of these dress patterns are combined together. Just the way to be simpler, salwar kameez would consist of loose fitting pants, the kameez would mean something very similar to the tunic style or kind of a shirt and a dupatta if required for the designed dress. It is not just about salwars or chudidars but these traditional patterns can be evolved or distinguished in many other forms. The system of fashion world, no matter whether it is traditional clothes, it is modifying, changing and evolving.
