Shmokiads! What Is ShmokiAds? A Waste!

ShmokiAds or Shmoki Ads (Shmokiads.com) is a digital banner and pop under Network based in Bulgaria that provides both publishers and advertisers a chance to expand their brand. They provide a network where they match a publisher’s website to advertiser’s ads to reach a common goal, so they can both benefit. What is posting ads for benefit the most, the publishers displaying ads on their website and monetizing the Traffic that they send to the advertiser’s product, service or business and are compensated on a CPM model (For every 1000 views you send to the advertiser’s ad, you get paid but the rate that’s paid is based on the advertiser and the CPM program). For example, you send 5000 people to the ad, 5000/1000=5, so its 5 X (the CPM rate) = (your pay), an easy way to generate (make) money from your blog or website. The advertiser isn’t compensated (they don’t get paid) unlike the publishers because they pay to have their ad displayed on a publisher’s website, they are rewarded with the traffic that the publisher sends to their advertisement. Advertisers that paid for the CPM traffic package through the Program and having their ads placed on a publisher’s website, hope that it leads to a potential sale(s) and/or clicks to their advertising agendas, it’s the chance they take but it doesn’t necessarily mean it will succeed (varies on how much traffic the website sends to the advertisement and the quality (conversion rate). More into the specifics of the Shmoki Ads program and the service you’d expect when using them.

What Is ShmokiAds?

Like I mentioned earlier in this review, ShmokiAds is a CPM pop under and banner ad network based out of Bulgaria that brings together like minded individuals such as the advertisers and the publishers. There main purpose of the program is to draw publishers into their network, so their advertisers can advertise their services on those websites. They provide both banner and popunder monetization ads into their program for those that join their network as a publisher. If you join their program as an advertiser you don’t get compensated through their program, unless the sales were made through the ads you provided to the publisher’s website. Anyways, pop under advertisements nowadays have become one of the most popular ways bloggers are using in monetizing their websites traffic, which makes ShmokiAds a popular network. If you don’t already know what a popunder ad is, it’s an ad that pops up or under when you try to exit out of a website, then an ad gets displayed (this is the ad that pays you as a publisher and for every 1000 views that gets displayed, you’ll get compensated for it). A banner ad is a static ad that gets placed on your website and is visible to the individuals that visit your website at all times and is paid in the same result as a pop under advertisement for every 1000 views you’ll be compensated.

Shmoki Ads has quite the interesting catch, as a publisher of their program “you’ll experience a whole new level of monetization of your website.” There slogan can draw anyone’s curiosity to their network wanting to know more about it, what makes them different? There’s no approval process required with Shmoki (CPM Fun another network that doesn’t require an approval process), just sign up and you can begin earning, sounds pretty simple because that’s not how other ad networks work. You need to submit your website’s information (details) and then await an approval process, then if you get approved, you can begin the process in monetizing your website. If they accept your website then your good to go as far as monetizing it, if you’re not, then they’ll either tell you flat out why (which is good) or they don’t bother to tell you at all, that to me seems unprofessional. For example, If I get disapproved from something I’d like to know why and not assume why it was, sometimes they’ll provide you with a long list of information or ideas on a document that says why they would deny you, but we need to know why as people (we are always curious) what was the reason behind the rejection (at least that’s the way I am). Right? I know!

Shmoki claims that they are “The Unique CPM Network that wants to work with publishers from all over the world and that they offer the highest CPM rates available. Discover the full earning potential of your website!” Now that’s another reason to join the ShmokiAds program because it’s hard to find high paying CPM ad networks. Don’t get me wrong there are tons of high paying ad networks, the problem is that most of them are scams (CPM FUN) where they’ll pay you for the traffic but they won’t pay you when it comes time to cash out, they set high payout limits (so you don’t reach them), or they’ll reject your website for no valid (good) reason. Most of these CPM networks hope that you’ll provide traffic to their advertiser’s ad so they can be seen and so they can profit off of them and not pay you “the publisher.” Some CPM networks that reject your website aren’t necessarily scams, they just set their limits too high in order to be accepted into their publisher program (They say high quality, high traffic, content needs to be great, but who are they to say that? If your website meets their traffic criteria, if your producing good content and we as publishers think it’s great, then how can they disqualify it from their program) that part makes no sense!) I’m just providing a point so you can better understand where I’m coming from, I hope I’ve cleared this up, more on Shmoki Ads below.

What Are The ShmokiAds Requirement To Join Their CPM Network As A Publisher?
  • There’s no traffic requirement to join their network, they accept all forms of traffic whether its international or domestic (targeted would be USA, Australia, UK, and Canada, their considered tier 1 or a high-quality traffic standard which most CPM ad companies desire).
  • Your website cannot contain (have) adult content or foreign material of a pornographic nature or intent.
  • Your website cannot contain spam, hacking of any material, malware or virus-related information.
  • Your website cannot break any copyrighting information or laws.
  • There’s no approval process, therefore you can begin earning all you need to do is register an account, choose the ad banner format ad tag size and paste it onto your website, then you’ll be compensated for the traffic you generate to your site.
The Attractive Aspect Behind The ShmokiAds Publisher Program

Their ad network has many interesting features that would draw any publisher to their program looking to monetize their website’s traffic.

  • The CPM rate that they offer is quite impressive.
  • They accept all traffic and disregarding (not caring) where it’s coming from.
  • They have a real-time website traffic estimator dashboard (back office) that displays any traffic coming to your website and where they’re coming from.
  • Your allowed to use other ad networks on your website along with Shmoki Ads advertisements because it doesn’t conflict with their programs standard (Not all CPM networks allow this option).
  • The ads that they offer are of a high-quality standard and aren’t offensive, hideous, or bothersome.
  • The payments made out to their publishers are either through Paypal and/or via a bank wire transfer.
  • They provide a 24/7 support system and if you have any issues whatsoever their quick to resolve them.
  • They offer an attractive alternative to earn more money from their CPM program, where if you send a high number of visitors per day to their ad, they’ll pay you a little more as a general courtesy (Now this is something that I have not seen before with any CPM network as they are the only ones to use this philosophy (thought) ).
  • They provide the publisher with 90% of the advertising revenue which allows them to make the most money possible and to their fullest potential.
  • They provide a 5% boost in your income CPM rating for any publisher you refer to their program, which is usually the standard that most CPM programs offer, but then again it’s better than nothing.

If You Do Any Of The Following Below You Will Get Banned From Their Program As A Publisher

  • You cannot use any auto-surfing, manual-surfing or any type of exchanging traffic website(s) (Hit Leap or 10KHits).
  • You cannot send any bot traffic (robot traffic because they’re not real people) and proxy traffic (different IP addresses to count as a new unique visitor per IP address) to game (cheat) their system.
  • Cannot use any Paid-To-Click or Paid-To-Promote traffic.
  • Can’t place more than 3 of their advertising ads on a single page on your website.
  • Cannot place their banner ads on invisible or hidden pages, iframes, scripts and so on.
  • If you do any of the following above, then you will have forfeited all the earnings you’ve made through their program.
What Is Shmoki Ads Payment Threshold (Limit To Cash Out)?

The publisher can cash out once they request payment and the limit to receive payment is set at $100.00. So, once you’ve received $100 within their program then you can request pay out and be paid via PayPal (free) or a bank wire transfer (pay a tiny fee on the transaction). ShmokiAds pays their publishers on a basis of Net 30, Net 15, and/or Net 7.

My Personal Experience With The Shmoki Ads Program

It all began when Shmoki Ads sent an email to my inbox urging me to try out their CPM network as a publisher, which I was quite shocked about at first (the same experience I had with another CPM ad network CPM FUN) because how did they get my email in the first place? Now, I’m not sure how they got my email address whether it was through other CPM networks that sold my information to them (which is a common thing that most companies online are known to do) or they just browsed my website and found out the information there, but it got my attention! It advertised all the things that make it a publisher’s dream such as a high CPM rate, no approval process, no traffic requirement, a website traffic estimator in real time, a referral program, easy payment options (bank wire transfer or PayPal), so I decided at that time and moment to check the program out for myself and see if it really was a legitimate CPM program. Down below is the main homepage of the Shmoki Ad CPM program.

As you can see by looking at the image above you’ll notice all the things I’ve said previously and why I decided to try it out, it probably even caught your interest! Now, the website at first when looking at it isn’t “very appealing” but that’s fine, if it pays me the high CPM rate that they claim it’s extremely easy to overlook that fact (ha-ha), so I registered to the program, activated the email by verifying the account and logged on into my ShmokiAds account. Now the back office of Shmoki is very easy to navigate and operate, it’s what makes it an easy program to use. Now below is an image of the back office in which you’ll need to select the banner ad size, then press the generate code button that’ll provide you with a unique code, now this code needs to be pasted onto your website’s page, then all you need to do is provide the traffic to the website and the rest is history, then the money-making process begins, “the fun part!”

If you look at the picture above you’ll also notice the guidelines that they set as far as what they don’t allow when it comes to sending traffic to your website that contains the ShmokiAds ad code. I mentioned this earlier in this article but since its listed in this picture as well, I’m making it known once again, so your aware.

In the picture above is the back office of the traffic sources that my website was able to send to the ad code that’s on my website and the earnings it accumulated (made). This is a really cool and unique feature because it provides information such as where the majority of my traffic sources or visitors are coming from whether it’s a direct source (someone knows your URL and goes straight to it), whether it’s through search engines, social media and so on, not something that most CPM programs use in disclosing (showing) to their publishers. They seem to rate the traffic sources as well, which I don’t quite understand how their rating it or what its primarily based on. I liked this feature overall it was a really neat addition to their program.

The picture above shows in its entirety the number of unique visitors to impression ratio. If you don’t understand what a unique visitor is, it’s an individual that sees your website 1 time and you get credit for that visit but if they look at your page repeatedly you’re not compensated, until the next day and so on. Impressions is how many times your visitors have looked at your pages but it has nothing to do with compensation, only unique visitors count towards the CPM program, not the impressions, just to be clear. Now if you look at the picture above, you’ll notice that the CPM rate that they offer is quite impressive, during that 4 day stretch I was averaging about $2.22 per 1000, I made about $54.31 or I averaged about $13.58 during that 4 day stretch, then again that was only one CPM program I was being compensated for, which is really impressive!

Now The Truth Comes Out, Is Shmoki Ads A Scam!

Now I really liked the ShmokiAds program and I had really high expectations with them but they disappointed me! They pulled a fast one (tricked me) (what is Fort Ad Pays about an MLM business that failed to pay the people that promoted their business and became a scam just like the CPM Fun ad network) as they scammed me of my time and my websites traffic. I sent 25,507 unique visitors in 4 days to the ad, 110,962 ad impressions and they stopped compensating me for my websites traffic, while the ad kept receiving traffic, sounds unethical (wrong), so I took the ad code off of my website immediately! It bothered me that they would deceive (alter or change) the traffic stats, so they don’t pay out as much.

I know that the website traffic estimator that they use to track the unique visitors and impressions in their back office in real time is inaccurate. I have Google Analytics on my website that tracks how many unique visitors, impressions, time spent and so on, but the results that Google has when compared to ShmokiAds is much higher, I average on a daily basis about 8000 visitors and 30 to 40,000 ad impressions, so I know there lying, plus Google doesn’t lie! I also noticed that the balance of $54.31 that I made in their program is no longer shown in the ShmokiAds back office, they erased all my earnings. I wasn’t banned, I didn’t violate their rules, they just suddenly deleted it, so I reached out to the support team and they claim they did no such thing, so do they pay and are they considered a scam? What do you think? Yes of course!

I’d Rate The ShmokiAds Ad Network A 0/10
My Final Conclusion

ShmokiAds is one of the highest paying CPM programs on the internet, they have no traffic requirement, anyone can be approved but is it a scam? Yes indeed! The reason why they offer this program to anyone with no specific requirement, because they are now considered a scam network that no longer pays their publishers. I knew it was too good to be true as anything that usually is, is a scam, sad but true, unfortunately I really liked the network and it would have been another great alternative in monetizing my websites traffic. I mentioned in this article what is Fort Ad pays, a multi-level marketing program, CPM Fun and ShmokiAds a CPM network, they all share one thing in common they are now considered scams! Any network that offers high CPM rates with no traffic requirement you should be very skeptical, you don’t want to rely on them as a legitimate paying program only to get burned later on, this is why I wrote this review, so I can make everyone aware of this program and to stay away from them indefinitely (forever). I don’t recommend this program to anyone unless you want to waste your time only to find out you won’t get paid, so I’m warning you, thank you for reading!
