Singapore: Singapore stocks opened higher with the Straits Times Index up 11.18 focuses to 3,064.61.
Gainers dwarfed decliners 69 to 27, after about 19.7 million offers worth $39.4 million changed hands.
The most active counter was Lion Gold, which was level at 0.001.
Other active stocks included Wilmar International which increased 1.3 percent or four pennies to $3.18, and DBS which rose 0.9 percent, or 20 pennies to $23.73.

Sapphire Corp: Design and construction company Sapphire Corp is planning on right Issue. For every four existing shares one rights share with discount to last traded price $0.128.
Charisma Energy: Company is exiting from electricity retailing business. Company’s subsidiary Charis Electric, a joint venture company that is 50 per cent owned by Charisma, had obtained an electricity retail licence in Singapore but was never profitable.
Transcorp Holdings: Company reported loss of $5.35 million for the year 2018.It saw 37.2 percent fall in revenue as compare to previous financial year due to car sales down from 52 to 25 this year. Stock traded at $0.015.

While the Nasdaq inched up 5.03 to 6,584.52, the Dow closed 76.42 points or 0.3 percent to 23,062.40 and the S&P 500 edged down 3.09 points or 0.1 percent at 2,485.74.
The major indexes moved higher to end week due largely to the historic rally on Wednesday. The Nasdaq soared by 4 percent, while the Dow and the S&P 500 jumped by 2.7 percent and 2.9 percent.
Most of the traders remained away following the Christmas Day holiday of the New Year’s Day holiday next Tuesday.
