DUBAI RESIDENTS CAN RETURN FROM JUNE 22, 2020

  • Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs carries out return approvals through a direct link with airlines.
  • PCR tests are taken at the airports of Dubai
  • For all positive COVID-19 cases a 14-day quarantine is imposed

DUBAI CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO TRAVEL ABROAD FROM JUNE 23, 2020

  • Citizens and residents are permitted to travel abroad, according to official flight schedules of Dubai airports.
  • PCR tests at Dubai airports must be taken when they return to the country.
  • 14-day quarantine is in place for all positive COVID-19 cases.

VISITORS AND TOURISTS CAN ENTER TO DUBAI FROM JULY 7, 2020

  • Tourists and visitors allowed to enter, according to official flight schedules of Dubai airports. Also, the permission is subject to airports that are operational at their departure destinations.
  • Show their PCR test results which is valid for 96 hours when they arrive in Dubai or they must carry out a test at Dubai airports.
  • There is the option of 14-day quarantine for all positive COVID-19 Traveler including citizens, residents and tourists.
  • Before traveling and after returning to Dubai, travelers should adhere to all official measures and requirements. The measures are established by the Dubai Government and other countries.

  • If the UAE citizens are infected with COVID-19 while they are abroad, they must notify UAE embassies.

PROCEDURES FOR RETURNING DUBAI RESIDENTS

  • The UAE residents can pre-book flights through official websites of airlines that operate at Dubai airports.
  • Organization of residents’ arrival is the responsibility of Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
  • Returning residents can fly on any of the airlines with approved flights to Dubai airports.
  • Residents sign a declaration stating their commitment to pay the costs of examination and treatment in the case they are infected with COVID-19.
  • There is a form of Health Declaration that arrivals must complete before leaving their destination. The form is to ensure that they are clear of any symptoms.
  • All arrivals must register their details on an app called “COVID-19 DXB”.

  • No PCR test required before departure
  • Filling out the Health Declaration Form and signing the costs declaration before departure is an obligation
  • In the case the travelers show any symptoms of COVID-19, airlines have the right to deny travelers

PROCEDURES FOR LEAVING THE AIRPORT

  • Residents have to stay home until their PCR test results come out.
  • Abide by 14-day quarantine for positive COVID-19 cases is obligation
  • Home quarantine is possible if the conditions of quarantine are met.
  • Residents with positive test result for COVID-19 who are sharing home or live in high-density housing, should be isolated at a facility.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL PROCEDURES

  • Citizens and residents are free to travel to several countries. The travel can be on any of the airlines with approved flights to and from Dubai airports.
  • They must adhere to the measures specified by the destination country upon arrival.
  • Completion of Health Declaration Form before departing. This measure is to ensure travelers are clear of any symptoms.
  • Register to the COVID-19 DXB app.

Procedures For International Tourists Arriving To Dubai Overseas:

TRAVEL TO DUBAI REQUIREMENTS

  • Fulfil requirements of entry visa to visit the UAE.

PROCEDURES UPON ARRIVAL AT DUBAI AIRPORTS

In the event the tourist is not carrying a valid PCR test result, a test will be carried out at Dubai airports

  • The temperature of all arrival passengers will be taken with thermal screening devices.
  • Tourists not carrying a valid PCR test result have to take one when they arrive
  • For tourists with negative test result but showing COVID-19 symptoms, the PCR test can be repeated
