In order to move your furniture efficiently, our movers categorise your furniture items into 3 different types; base, fill and plunder. The base is filled with strong and sturdy furniture. The fill is boxes and smaller furniture items and plunder is small oddly shaped items such as rolled up rugs and vacuums.
The aim is to make walls from the front of the truck to the back. You then pack the base first and then the fill on top and if you have any gaps on top use your plunder items.
As your base will be mostly furniture, use a pad or blanket to wrap each individual item before putting it in position in the truck. You should also wrap any of the fill items that may get damaged. Once you have filled the gaps with plunder you can then cap off the wall with a mattress standing on its end and tie it across the truck to keep everything in place.
Your fridge and television will need individual attention.
You will need to wrap your fridge with a blanket and tie it against the wall with the doors facing the outer side of the truck, this will prevent the doors from any damage by any items you pack around it.
Put your television against the wall with the screen facing the outside of the truck, cover the tv with a blanket and then fill in between the wall with blankets and pads. Finish off by tying the tv against the wall.
