Did you know that aside from being unsafe it is also illegal? Doing your own Electrical works at home or getting it done by an unlicensed electrician is a Big No-No in Queensland as this causes serious risks or even fatal consequences, that’s why electrical safety inspectors investigate and prosecute these unlicensed works. 

Furthermore, getting caught with electrical works done by an unlicensed electrician or worse yourself also attracts heavy penalties. These penalties can go up to as much as $40,000 for an individual and in case a breach happens that puts other people in peril, or at serious risk or death, it gets a maximum penalty of $600,000 for individuals and as much as $3,000,000 for corporations or 5-year imprisonment.

So, Why put anyone at risk? You might think that you are saving money, but in reality, you are just actually paying for what you’re going to get from it, which is an unsafe, unprofessional, and uncertain electrical work.

Moreover, while you are breaking the law, you also compromise your insurance or worse even your life. And aside from the obvious, there is much more harm to it than any good, that’s why never ever try and attempt doing any of your own electrical works. Trust me.

Only get services from a licensed electrician and be certain of the end results. They are professionals who have educated themselves and have focused on electrical works for many years. Considering that becoming a licensed electrician takes years of hard work and effort to build an experience that can’t be learned overnight nor from youtube. 

So, the next time you need anything electrical-related done in your home or office, just make sure to only hire licenced electricians, who know exactly what they’re doing in performing electrical works safely and effectively, allowing you to just sit back, relax and enjoy peace of mind.
