ATE Textile Weaving Solutions

Weaving is a process in the Textile industry that helps to produce a fabric. The fiber is made into a piece of fabric through the weaving process which interlaces the warp and weft of the yarn to create a strong fabric. Warp is run parallel to the textile weaving machine called loom while the weft is run perpendicular to it.

Three operations are required to interlace the warp with weft yarn in the textile weaving machine:

  1.   Shedding – This process separates the warp into two layers by elevating the harness to create an open space between two warp sets.
  2.   Picking – In this process, filling yarn is inserted through the shed.
  3.   Beating- This process involves inserting the filling yarn into the woven fabric at the fell point.

In addition, warp control and cloth control operations are needed to continue and complete the weaving process.

Advantages of Weaving

Weaving is an essential procedure in cloth fabric making and it interlaces the warp and weft yarn to produce a strong fabric which is also smooth and less hairy.

Types of Weaving Machinery:

  • Handlooms: These machines are still being used in less-developed nations to produce large quantities of fabrics.
  • Non-automatic power looms: Though their usage is reducing, especially in advanced countries, they are still very useful for producing specialist cloth fabrics.
  • Circular looms: These have limited applications, but they still help to achieve high rates of weft insertion from low shuttle speeds as there is continuous weft insertion.
  • Conventional automatic looms: These machines are popular all over the world because they are versatile and relatively cheap.

Textile machine spare parts such as spindles and inserts, cradles, and top rollers are useful in boosting the quality and effectiveness of textile machinery.
