Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan Predicts Decline of Congress Party

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior BJP leader has castigated the INDI bloc, suggesting the imminent downfall of the Congress Party.

Chouhan remarked, “Confidence in the Congress party has significantly dwindled. The members of the INDI bloc are facing rejections of their forms. Among them are individuals who lack the basic knowledge of form filling,” during an interaction with ANI.

In response to Rahul Gandhi’s recent criticisms of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chouhan retaliated, asserting that such remarks from the Congress MP signify a state of panic within the party due to its declining stature.

“It seems evident that the Congress party is on the brink of collapse, while the BJP is poised for another significant triumph,” Chouhan remarked.

During a press conference in Bhopal, Chouhan disparaged Congress, labelling it an ‘endangered party.’

“Congress and its leaders have repeatedly claimed that democracy and the Constitution are endangered. Democracy is not in peril, the Constitution is in safe hands. However, if anyone is endangered, it is the Congress party. Congress is spiraling downwards,” Chouhan remarked.

He continued, “The Congress’ situation resembles that of an angry cat clawing at a pole. Rahul Gandhi is making absurd statements, such as suggesting that if BJP wins the Lok Sabha polls, the country will be set ablaze. Does Congress intend to set the country ablaze? Does Sonia Gandhi endorse Rahul Gandhi’s statements?” questioned the BJP leader.

These statements come in the wake of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi filing his nomination papers from Wayanad in Kerala. Following the nomination, Rahul Gandhi characterized the upcoming Lok Sabha election as a ‘battle for democracy and the Constitution of India.’

“This election is a battle to safeguard democracy and the constitution. On one side, the Congress Party and the INDIA alliance are battling for democracy and the Constitution. On the other side, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP members are engaged in dismantling democracy and the Constitution,” remarked the Congress MP.

Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh are slated to be conducted in the first four phases of the total seven phases, scheduled for April 19, April 26, May 7, and May 13.
