Steps for GST Enrollment:

  1. All the registered taxpayers is given the provisional ID and password by state VAT department
  2. Contact the state VAT department if the provisional ID and password is not received
  3. Use this ID and password to access the GST common portal, create a unique username and password using ID and password.
  4. For validation, make sure that you have a valid email address and mobile number
  5. After creating user ID and password, log into the GST common portal
  6. Provide business details in the enrollment application
  7. Verify the auto-populated details from state VAT system
  8. Sign in the Enrollment application electronically

  8. Both total value of sales and taxable value of sales to be clearly mentioned in the GST invoice
  9. Rate of GST depends upon the nature of the transaction
  10. Mention “GST PAID ON REVERSE CHARGES” if payable, if revised invoice then clearly mention “REVISED INVOICE” in GST tax invoice
  11. GST tax invoice has to be signed by the supplier as per the guidelines of the GST authorities
