How to manage the mode of payment for Roku account?

We need to setup a payment method to facilitate the paying of bills for our Roku subscription. Also, we might need to alter the settings if in case our card details change. Thus today we will discuss the steps to manage the payment method for Roku.

Once we purchase movies and shows from Roku channel store, then the Roku starts billing us, and we need to pay the bill for each month to be able to continue using its service. Initially, when we create a Roku account, we are asked to link it to the Payment method. It is required to facilitate the payment of future bills. Adding or modifying the payment details do not create a charge to your Roku account so you can alter the payment method for any number of times you want. You will only be charged if purchase any movie or show using that account. Roku does not charge all channels as there are few channels for which you need to have direct payment method with the service provider of that channel. To setup, the payment method for your Roku account just go through the following procedure.

Steps to Add or modify the data related to Roku payment mode:

  1. Open the browser in any of devices connected with an internet connection may be any Android devices like phone, Tablet, etc. or your computer.
  2. Type the URL as www.myroku.com for your browser input and press “Enter” or click on “Search.”
  3. Now you might come across a prompt to Login to your account.
  4. Now go to “Payment method” and click on “Update” to edit the payment details.
  5. Now enter the details related to your card no., the expiry date of card, password and other asked fields.
  6. After entering the values for all fields click on “Submit” or “Save changes” as per available.

The new users, who are setting up the payment method for the first time should not click on the “update” because they will be directly prompted to enter the card and other details. So enter the details correctly and click on “Submit.”

In case if you find any problem while setting up the payment method then perform the following checks:

  1. Match the entered card details with the card details on your card and make sure they are the same.
  2. Enter any other card information and verify if it goes correctly for the payment method. If the other card then it means there is a problem with that card, so you need to use another card for payment.
  3. Go for Paypal method if it works.
  4. Try to reopen the account in another browser and then again try to go through the setup for payment method.

Steps to delete the payment method from your account.

  1. Open the browser in any of devices connected with an internet connection may be any Android devices like phone, Tablet, etc. or your computer.
  2. Type the URL as www.myroku.com for your browser input and press “Enter” or click on “Search.”
  3. Now you might come across a prompt to Login to your account.
  4. Now go to “Payment method” and click on “Update” to edit the payment details.
  5. Now select the option to “Remove Payment method” that is present on the bottom of the page. So these were few steps you need to follow to setup the mode of payment for your Roku account.
