Moses

Corrupt official authorities
roaming around the cities
Senselessly catch innocent people on the streets
they made Moses look like a thief
Though he had great hopes to begin with
wrongly jailed him
when he was supposed to study medicine

This illegal death penalty of a child
made the global youth angry and wild
having the full attention of Human Rights activists
that became passionate lobbyists
for a confession received in torture is false
Endless is the number of captives for wrong reasons in Nigeria
In key position is the new president
to diminish this appalling percent

Money-grubbing soldiers on the roads
are turning the civilians into patients
without proper investigation
by using the means of beating
Like this their people they're cheating
getting their minds badly shaken
in fear of new punishment
The officials authorities are ought to protect
and maintain peace
but I can't see it by these means

There are too many broken families
suffering from the mistakes of the authorities
expecting their loved ones anxiously home
without realizing they could be caught on the streets
by the soldiers running from responsibility
only seeing the gallows as possibility
They don't appear in the court standing behind their words

But today Moses is free
Many like him don't seem to be
until the politicians give up on their selfish policies
demanding sanction
in order to the Human rights to function
regarding also official authorities themselves
walking their heads in the bush
