For so long I've thought of Dumbledore as the most knowledgable and stable wizard. It was difficult to see him in this situation. Although I'm sure this is why he's such a great wizard -- because he has faced and endured so much. It really bothered me that it was just Harry and Dumbledore facing this horcrux. You would think there would be more power in numbers. But thinking back to all of the other books it's usually just Harry, facing Voldemort alone. I'm glad Dumbledore was there. There's so much that we don't know about Dumbledore. It would be interesting if Rowling wrote a story just about him. If you visit her site, she has knowledge about all of her characters, even the ones that she mentions only once and never uses again. I agree with Dumbledore. I'm glad Harry was with him.
