REVIEW

A great debut novel from a new author!Frostbite is the first Book in the Hunter Chronicles and sets the stage for the story to come.Jasmine Hunter is an agent who works for the supernatural department of Scotland Yard. She is a Sensitive-one who is able to sense supernatural beings. When she gets kidnapped along with her co-worker, Twitch(who is a techno mage), she senses that one of her captors is a supernatural-a vampire.

Eric-one of the vampiria(a born vampire)- is a freelance agent and is undercover pretending to be a rich buyer interested in purchasing weapons from Marcel Coupe, an arms dealer and the main antagonist. He doesn't have time to deal with complications that might mess up his undercover work. But neither Jasmine nor Eric can deny the sudden attraction that flares between them.

Jasmine and Twitch manage to escape the first time, but when Twitch is captured again, Jasmine and Eric begin working together. And in this process they become closer. But, both Jasmine and Eric are keeping a lot of secrets. Will they let the attraction between them develop into a relationship or will they be satisfied with a fling?

Both Jasmine and Eric were intriguing characters. We have learnt a little about Jasmine and I can't wait to find more about Eric and the connection between them.Jasmine has a painful event in her past which she is slowly moving on from.(A Sensitive's abilities are activated when they go through a very painful experience). She has never felt an attraction like this before and doesn't know what to make of it.Eric also hasn't really felt a deep connection to a woman in centuries. But, there is something about the feisty Jasmine that grabs his attention. But, they might have to deal with the fact that he is a vampire and she is a human.

This book had the perfect amount of action and suspense in it and is written in such a way that the romance doesn't overtake them. The setting was amazing with scenes spread out all throughout Paris. The supporting characters like Twitch, Raoul, Jasmine's boss were also equally amazing.

I can't wait to see where the author will take Jasmine and Eric's story next! There is a lot that we have to learn about them, their pasts and their connection.SO, if you're looking for an amazing, unique paranormal romance with the perfect mix of action, suspense and humor, you should definitely give this one a try!! :D
