If you have ever seen the Terminator series of movies you will be familiar with Robert Patrick’s portrayal of the T-1000 Liquid Metal terminator.

Well, if that movie didn’t get you thinking the news just out that scientists are working on Liquid metal that ‘thinks’ for itself will certainly have the hair on the back of you neck prickling a little.

Take a look at this YouTube video and then think about the T-1000. I don’t know about you but the thought of something akin to a T-1000 wandering around someone’s lab in a few years time makes me slightly nervous. You see, I’ve been a computer programmer most of my adult life and I know how bad and sloppy some programmers are. The thought of some of the people I’ve worked with being let loose on a project like that is enough to give me sleepless nights!
