King and Jarls

In this post will tell you a bit about the king and Jarl of each city

Akinstad – This is the capital of Rhyat and King Elias lives here. Elias is driven and ambitious. He is known to resolve problems in many different manners, from the pragmatic to violent and vengeful. He is also a fantastic fighter, killing his enemies with is preferred weapon of a battleaxe.

He has a long black beard pointing out from his chin and one of his eyes is bruised and slightly misshapen from the battle of Blood and Axe.

Aghon – Varyn became Jarl after the events of the battle of Blood and Axe. He is incredibly intelligent but not the greatest fighter, a man of strategy and patience.

Varyn has long, blonde (almost white) hair with noticeably blue eyes. He has no muscle on his body, making him look like a skeleton, especially with his extremely pale skin.

Riverbridge – The Jarl of the most beautiful city in the world is Ellyna. She is the only female Jarl in Rhyat. Being known as quiet and peaceful, she does not get involved in fights.

Ellyna is twenty years old, very small with long dark hair. She is the daughter of the past Jarl of Riverbridge.

Darkbank – Gregory is the Jarl of this dark city, a cruel and vile man. He carries around a flail in which he hits all of his prisoners ripping apart their skin. Gregory will only ever answer in blood.

Standing at 6ft 5 he is the tallest man in the world, he is not just tall but incredibly muscular. He never smiles; his only happiness comes from ending lives. He has short, black hair, undamaged skin and a slight amount of stubble on his face.

Dovkrii – Robert is Jarl of Dovkrii. Fat, grey and old, determined and confused are just some ways to describe Robert. He likes to stay separate from the rest of Rhyat and his main focus is when he wishes to set sail to the forsaken islands of Darkmoor in search of the mythical giants.

He is the longest serving Jarl in Rhyat and suffers greatly from his old age. He spends most of his days drinking wine and trying to convince his army to sail to Darkmoor for the first time in history.

Winterkeep – The Jarl of Winterkeep is Jerold. A man of wisdom and religion. He lives beside one of the three temples of the Gods and has seen many travellers come and go through the temple of Asgar. Jerold has lived in city of Winterkeep all of his life and does not know of the world beyond his city.

His body is slowly starting to break being the oldest Jarl in Rhyat at one hundred years old.

Qait & Gyst – These are two separate cites of not same island on the east of Rhyat that share the same Jarl. The Jarl of these two cities is Laymon.

Laymon is a teenager, for his young age he is hated by the two cites of Qait and Gyst. He is very much a lazy Jarl; he never moves off his throne and shies away from any form of conflict.

The stress of being Jarl of two cities shows on his face, he rarely smiles, has baggy eyes and makes very little effort for his appearance.  His blonde hair has begun to turn grey.

Valaheim – Can be located above the city of Gyst on the map and close to Pennin. Like Riverbridge, Valaheim is a peaceful city but is incredibly religious; one of the three temples of the Gods is in this city. It has the smallest population in Rhyat. The Jarl is Edgar. Nobody knows anything about Edgar, he stays hidden in his own city and some people even believe he is dead.
