Both JAP and CORD are Shamelessly Guilty for Lying to Kenyans About IEBC & ICC

You will excuse my candid ignorance if I compare Politicians drawn from both the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD), and Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP), like an estranged, yet outright irresponsible father who turns up at the wee hours of the night expecting to be served Kuku-Choma and Ugali out of the blue, and when none is forthcoming, resort to blows.
Again, like a burnt child, our politicians seems not to have learnt a lesson from what transpired in 2007/2008.
Here comes a season of sustained backstabbing,  incessant name-calling, and ceaseless rhetoric meant but to achieve one and only one think: ascend to State House.
That such a goal should be achieved by hook or crook, is by no means an excuse for our political leaders to continually use the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC), and the International Criminal Court (ICC) simply as yet another one of their pretexts of hoodwinking a largely indoctrinated electorate.
That on different occasions, and whether or not  it suited them, both CORD and JAP foot-soldiers have vehemently rebuked and robustly exalted IEBC and ICC, is reason enough to conclude that theirs is a hypocritical stance meant solely to achieve political mileage.
When rumor, that unlettered, unadulterated, and lone traveler started making rounds within the media cycles back in 2013 that IEBC Chairperson, Mr. Ahmed Issack Hassan was tipped to win an International Award for his exemplary stewardship at the then embattled commission, over 30 NGOs, dozens of Civil Rights Groups, and CORD Politicians protested. Understandably, the ruling JUBILEE foot-soldiers kept mum. When ODM re-clinched Malindi Parliamentary seat, its members ululated, shouted Hallelujah, and branded the commission a timely savior!  Of course JAP only fell short of loudly condemning the electoral body, though some agitated successful-failures couldn't hold it much longer, as they soon took to the  social media to castigate the Issack-led electoral body.
First-rewind in 2008: Don't be Vague, Let's Go to Hague was a temporal slogan of the then just mentioned HAGUE-SIX as they vigorously embraced the ICC. Ironically, the Kibaki-Raila duet was the one campaigning for a local tribunal. Almost eight years on, Raila, the de facto High Priest of CORD, is the one trotting the globe vilifying ICC for failing Kenyans! Again, led by the UhuRuto duet, the HAGUE-SIX are the ones vehemently condemning the ICC for their personal-cum-continental woes.
At the center of all these political machinations is a hapless electorate, who though visibly overwhelmed by such blatant hypocrisies, must unfortunately heed the voice of reason of their political masters!
The fact that Post-polls chaos didn't embrace our peace-loving nation back in 2013 has a lot to do with ICC, whether or not we would love to acknowledge it.
High profile prosecutions, pitting both Africans and non-Africans, is a clear indicator that the Hague-based ICC court is not an extension of a nonexistent imperialist shadow hell-bend to re-colonize Africa.
Just the other day, ICC jailed a former Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga to 14 years behind bars.  Then there were the two senior Bosnian Serb ex-officials Mico Stanisic and Stojan Zupljanin, who were each sentenced to 22 years imprisonment.
In other words, Kenya do honestly need ICC more than we need it, and the amplified political rhetoric either vilifying or chastising it should not be taken as a nation's stance, but rather as purely individualistic agendas meant to further cement the cause roots of impunity. More so, IEBC has done a commendable job (despite the few hiccups here and there) and should therefore be given an opportunity to deliver a free, fair, and democratic election come 2017.
