For so long Darkness has covered me,
and the silence my only companion.
I longed to see the blue sky, to be free.
To once again stand tall and roar like a lion.

All of a sudden a bright light blinds me,
when I open my eyes I stand in pastures green.
All I have ever wanted was in front of me,
it was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.

I realize I brought the darkness upon me,
it was me and my doubting mind.
Easily swayed by the words of the enemy,
so easily I was lured and confined.

As the sun sets on this wonderful day,
begins a new chapter of my story.
No longer my mind shall be astray,
its time for my return to glory.
