Imagine an Apocalypse on Earth. An angel apocalypse. They are ten times stronger, faster, they can fly, and they can hear better than a dog. Oh, and they can also see in the dark as it if were bright day. Sounds intimidating right?

It has been six weeks since the apocalypse started…

Penryn is a seventeen year old trying to make it out alive with her seven year old, wheelchair Bound Sister and psychotic (literally) mother. One night, Penryn and her family decide to go find shelter. At night. The angels are said to rule the night. Bad idea.

Nevertheless, they go out and are super careful. Then all of a sudden, they are witness to an actual angel fight, 3 against 1. Obviously the 3 win and their leader takes away Penryn’s sister. Now Penryn will do anything to get her back. She decides to make a deal with the 1 who lost against the 3. His name is Raffe. He is an enemy angel. Can Penryn really trust him? Can she save her sister?

I really enjoyed this Book. It’s only around 300 pages, and so it feels like your watching an action packed movie. Totally awesome might I add. Non stop action and adventure, a kick-ass female lead, and the slightest romance. Everything I look for in a good book. The writing style is fabulous. The mom is hilarious, and Raffe is extremely sassy, also hilarious. It made me laugh, it made me sad, I simply adored this book. Anyone who enjoys adventure is bound to love it.

The second one, World After is already out, though I haven’t picked it up yet.
