*May contain spoilers for previous books in the I Am Just Junco series*

With everything seeing to have gone wrong, the whole plan seems to hang in the balance, and it all relies on Junco carrying out a single order. Tier knows what he has to do, even if it means leaving the one thing he wants behind. Everyone seems to be playing their own game, but Earth's hopes are resting on this plan.

Oh that ending! It was so right. I was welling up at how perfect it was for the characters involved. After everything they'd been through it worked well. I'm honestly not that sure what to write in this review though, because I really don't want to spoil anything!

There were a few moments in the book where I wasn't too sure how it was all going to work out for Junco & co. I knew that it would, but as is Huss' way, there were twists and turns aplenty and things from previous books started to tie together and led towards the finale.

Junco has grown so much as a character over the series. At the beginning I wasn't convinced I even liked her as a person (hats off to Huss on writing her character so well there!) but by Return I loved Junco and was definitely hoping that things would end well for her (and for Tier.)

The romance in I Am Just Junco is only a side plot. But Tier and Junco are defintiely perfect for one another. They're both incrediably loyal, and this book in particular removed any doubts (even if they were small) about how the pair of them felt about each other. However the romance only really played a part as a motivator for them, and wasn't the main push of the story.

Return actually answered some questions about Lucan too, and I liked the way that the Avians own mythology, as well as some elements of Christina mythology, tied together in the story to make it happen. Of course it had the author's own spin on it though!

This is a series you really get sucked into and the characters really grow on you!
