I love knowing what I'm in for when I read something by Foster. Her books have great chemistry between the lead characters, as well as romance, family and enough drama to keep the story going without it becoming unrealistic...or at least that's the best way I can think of to sum up Foster's books!
I loved Sam! He wasn't quite the classic bad boy, other than the fact he slept around a bit and had a reputation, he didn't actually do anything "bad", and even the sleeping around wasn't actually bad, after all he wasn't cheating on anyone or hurting anyone on purpose.
I did however like that Faith made him work for her. She didn't want to fall for the town player and she didn't want to let him in without him proving that he was worth her. I loved that Faith had enough self worth for that, and Sam really had to pull out all the romantic stops for her!
The romance, and the chemistry, was great between the two leads. As a reader you were with them in the moment going "awww" or wanting them to rip each others' clothes off. It worked well and added a level of realism to the story. As a reader you find yourself truely caring for them and wanting it to work out.
There was a big focus on Sam's relationships with his three brothers, Nate, Ty and Cole, and so a lesser extent his relationship with his sisters, Tempest and Shannon. The brothers had the balance of protectiveness, straight talking and comeraderie. I love the sense of family these books give!
