Happily married, Naomi and Damien are in the middle of nowhere enjoying life, or at least they are until Lilith arrives. After shooting Naomi with an antedote to vampirism making Damien allergic to her in the process, Lilith breathes her last. But Lucifer is behind her attempt to drive Naomi and Damien apart, and they ar emore determined than ever to beat him, even if it means risking everything...

I didn't realise when I put this on my 2016hw list that it was book 2 in a series, and actually this is one of those cases where reading book one would have been really beneficial. Saying that, by the time I'd put the pieces together from the beginning I actually found myself completely sucked into the book and didn't want to put it down. While I'm intrigued about book one, I got enough of a sense of what happened for Tigress to make sense.

Damien and Naomi's relationship was already established at the beginning of Tigress, I assume from the first book, and so this was more of a growth book for them. Naomi was a strong character and she seemed to be the glue that held their relationship together. It was made evern more intense by the fact that they couldn't actually touch each other for most of the book.

I loved the way that mythology was weaved together with vampires/shifting in the book. It gave another dynamic as well as humanising several of the main figures in Christian mythology. It was intriguing and enjoyable to read.

This was a good book, wish I'd read book one first, but it was enjoyable without it al the same.
