When property investor Duke Ryder is given a tour of the island of Elpitha, the last thing he expects is to fall for attractive and fiesty Gabriella Liakos, grandaughter of the Island's owner and his own personal tour guide. Gabriella doesn't want her beloved island to change, even if she lives most of the year in New York for her legal practice. Sparks soon begin to fly, and with Gabriella's Southern and Greek family playing matchmakers, that spark becomes hard to resist...

I love that with a Melissa Foster book you know what you're getting. The romance will be sweet and sexy, and the plot will keep moving on its own accord, all of which makes for an engaging and enjoyable read...and just what I expect!

The chemistry between Duke and Gabriella was there, and I liked that the two of them accepted their attraction to one another easily, even if they did then refuse to act on it. Their relationship seemed to come easy to them and even though there were some complications, they did manege to move past them.

I liked that of the two of them Gabriella was the one most likely to put the breaks on things. She wasn't uninterested in what Duke was asking, but her job and working with divorcees had left her a little jaded and I liked the realism that that gave the story.

Gabriella was a great character herself. She stuck to what she wanted and what she believed until she had a genuine reason to change her mind and for me that made her stand out that bit more. It also gave another dimension to her interactions with other characters.

The other thing that is a staple in Foster's books, and I love reading, is the family element. There is always something about the importance of family and it makes for good reading. I can't wait for the rest of Duke's families books, and I think there was at least a little bit of foreshadowing going on!

As always another great read from Melissa Foster!
