Since finding each other at their orphanage, Roan and Kay have done everything together and after their home is burnt down things don't change. Wishing to become Razors, they journey to Resa and to the School of Faith. But while Roan finds his place, Kay struggles with the the things she has to learn and do to earn her place by his side...

This series is such a great concept! A novella is released every month and each set of 4 focuses on different main characters (as in books 1, 2, 3 & 4 all follow different people, then 5, 6, 7 & 8 follow the same pattern). They're all set in the same world and they are all interlinked in little ways but you can read 1-4 in any order (hence how I've accidentally skipped over 3, though believe me I will be going back for it!

I think Faith and Moonlight is my favourite story in the series so far, mainly because it seemed a little bit more focused on the characters whereas the others have been more on the action. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the other two as well and like having something short and high fantasy to read, but this one is most suited to me!

I liked that Roan and Kay explored their motivations in what they were doing, and that they were both determined individuals. But I also liked that they showed human weakness, particularly on Kay's side. These were the youngest characters so far (at 14) and I think their age was well written given the necessary maturity due to circumstance.

I'm definitely looking forward to more in the series and more from Roan and Kay!
