*May contain spoilers for the Rook & Ronin series (including the Ford spin off)*

Since the moment he first saw her, Spencer Shrike knew that Veronica Vaughn was the woman for him. But now is not the right time to make her his and he can't tell her why. All he can do is make sure she's as looked after as possible and that he is the man of her dreams when the time is right...

So I started Bomb straight after finishing Taut, which goes against all kinds of my reading rules...and technically even more since I have Guns ready to go as soon as I finish writing this review, but this series is far too addictive for me to feel bad about that.

Bomb was basically a back story of Spencer and Veronica. She was introduced in one of the earlier Rook & Ronin books (I want to say Manic) as Spencer's kind of on-off girlfriend, and this put some context to that. It's interesting having a quasi-couple that met before the book (Rook and Ronin met in Tragic, and Ford and Ashleigh met in Taut) because it adds such a different dynamic.

I started Bomb liking Spencer, and then I wanted to call him names for two reasons, the first just for being so clueless when it came to the woman he loved, and the second because he appeared to be doing something really bad considering he was trying to win the woman he loved, and by the end I was definitely back on Team Spencer (but Ronin is still number 1!) That was a lot going on for a novella set in a day!

I loved looking into Veronica and Spencer's past, and I'm looking forward to finding out more about the two of them in Guns!
