When assassin James goes to pick up a package, the last thing he expects is to get saddled with a 13 year old girl, nor for Sasha to be a killing machine. Anxious to get back to Harper and make sure she's safe, the three Company kids end up embroiled in plots within plots, each with their own agenda and each keeping their own secrets.

When I re-read my review of Come I do wonder why I didn't enjoy it as much as the other Huss books I've read, because I loved Come Back. I did find it a little slower to get into that Rook and Ronin and the others I've read, but as soon as I was into it I did not want to put it down. There was a lot going on, especially for such a small cast of characters, but for me it really worked.

There is a lot of action in Come Back, and I loved the fact that even though James was totally an alpha male, it wasn't just him that got the action. Both Harper and Sasha were strong in their own ways and it was great to see female characters holding their own in physical fights.

It's amazing what can be acheived with such a small cast of characters; for the most part Come Back just focused on James, Harper and Sasha, though there were characters that got talked about a lot, like Merc and Nick, and those that were mentioned like Ford, but other than that most characters other than the three leads were side lined. I liked that, it meant that the dynamics between the three could be explored and the relationships expanded upon.

I will say though, some part of James and Harper's relationship was a little bit creepy. Mostly when he was talking about her as a child. However for the entire book they are both adults and though they clearly have some trust issues, their chemistry worked really well. I also liked that James was the more serious of the two of them when it came to their relationship being about more than just sex.

I also loved James and Sasha's relationship. I think the best way to characterise it would be to say they're like siblings. They totally got on each other's nerves but their actual feelings were a little more complicated than that.

So now I feel like I've gone on and on about this book (compared to my normal review length!) I think its safe to say I loved it. Only problem now is that I still have my book buying embargo on for Lent, so I can't get Coming For You yet :-(
