Honestly, having read Crystal I thought I knew what to expect from Georgie and so it managed to take me completely by surprise. Georgie is nothing like Crystal as a character, other than that she too is a normal woman who had made mistakes and has to live with them.
It took a while for me to figure out just what it was that Georgie had done that she was so ashamed about, and the main reason for that was because I didn't think it was that bad. I was genuinely under the impression that it would be something like escorting (it isn't, and this isn't a spoiler by the way). Maybe its because I went to uni and my friends have our own share of similarly bad stories.
There was definite chemistry between Derek and Georgie, which showed both in their bedroom scenes and in their sexy banter. There was definitely something good going on there. Their emotionaly bonding also worked well, though I did feel that things happened a tad quickly towards the end.
I love the concept of this series, and the links to the previous book! It was a great quick read and I really enjoyed it!
