I can't remember where I spotted this book advertised, but it was somewhere and there was just something about the cover, the description and the title that made me want to read it. And I'm glad I did. Firstly, and this shocked me slightly, though there is innuendo and clear references, there are no explicit scenes. Its not something that I seem to find very often in shifter-romances, and it made this one have a cute element to it.
Not that the story was all cute. The main focus was on Samantha and Leo learning more about each other and becoming mates as they should be (on an emotional level for the most part). But there was also a sub plot of the Theron hunting down Samantha, and of another pack that was treating it's members badly. Those added some action and also set the book up to be a series (at least I hope so!)
The romance between Samantha and Leo was strong. They were cute together and clearly grew very close. There was also a good chemistry (which was compounded off page at some points too) which just kept growing as the book progressed.
I loved the way that Fraser included shifter lore into her book. It was an important part of the story and I felt that as a reader I learnt a lot about the paranormal world that these characters inhabited. Some of this was done through trial and error on the MCs' parts and some through side characters (Zara being my favourite, who doesn't love a sassy sister to the alpha!)
This was a really enjoyable read, I'm definitely glad I saw it and decided to buy!
