I was reading this book and thinking of the bloggers I know that like JA Huss and how I think they'd like this author too. I think its the combination of complicated motives, money and dirty sex that makes me think that, and Sloane can pull it off well.
I liked Keely from the first book (and lets face it I kind of like Vaughn too even if he is a bit arrogant and controlling) and that continued here. I think one of the main reasons I like her is that she doesn't actually seem to know what she's doing. It makes her seem more real as a character when she just goes with it, and when she struggles to decide what she wants.
Vaughn is the opposite. He knows exactly what he wants and he knows that he really shouldn't. There is definitely something endearing about him and how he reacts at not being able to have Keely (admittedly it's mostly through his own rules that he can't have her so it doesn't really count). He makes me think of a bad boy reformed (just none of the other characters realise it).
The chemistry between Keely and Vaughn is there, and there are some very steamy scenes. What amazes me more is that the author manages to do it in such a way that even avoiding having actual sex provides the same development for the characters.
I want to know what these two will do next. The ending of The Seduction 2 is definitely open ended and I have questions that need answering!
