Interview with Danielle Annett

Tell us about your publishing journey…

What do you love about being an author? I love that I can write about whatever I want. That there are no rules I have to follow. Its exciting to write a story and see it all unfold and know that you’re the reason behind it.

If you could have dinner with any literary character, who would it be and what would you eat?

I’d have dinner with Pritkin from the Cassie Palmer series and we’d drink a lot of wine. Screw the food.

If your book was to be made into a movie, who would you cast as the leads?

Aria Would be Jenna Kramer back from her One Tree Hill days, Declan would be Liam Hemsworth, James would be Steven R McQueen, and Inarus would be Chris Wood

Vampires – do you prefer them as sexy leads or blood hungry monsters?

Sexy leads for sure.

If you had a time machine, which era would you go back to and why?

I’d go back to the days of late 1500s in the victorian era when Queen Elizabeth rose to power. That would be a sight to see.

What life advice do you wish you’d been given sooner?

I wish someone had encouraged me to plot out my books before I ever wrote a sentence. It would have saved me a lot of time on rewrites.

If you were a supernatural creature, what would you be and why?

A shapeshifting dragon. I don’t have any of those in my books but come on, who wouldn’t want to be a dragon?

Where do you write best?

At coffee shops. They are my office of choice.

What was the last book you read, and what were your thoughts on it?

The last book I read (as of this interview) was Reap the Wind by Karen Chance. You can actually see my full review here…  but to summarize. It was freaking amazing and I’m dying for more.

If you didn’t write in your genre, which other would you prefer and why?

I think I would write contemporary romance. It’s a growing genre love of mine.

Where can fans find you online?

You can find me at my website, on twitter, and on facebook 
