Insomnia... or backwards brain?

I've been trying to adjust my sleep cycle to be that of a normal person. It isn't working well. In the morning I'm insanely tired and Brain dead. I muddle around and do random things and as the day gets later my brain perks up. Right when I want to settle down and write I should be going to be. So... the days where I get into writing something, well, next thing you know its 4am. And I have no idea how it got so late that quickly.

That is just when my brain is ready to get into things. Get into them I do. And completely lose track of time.

I try to start earlier and I get little done but apparently good writing time for me starts at midnight. And I'm all for going to bed at 2am but apparently I can't just stop after two hours.

Fact is I've always been a night person. I like being a night person. And it is damn hard to conform to society who for some reason insists on getting up insanely early. I'm a zombie if I get up before 10am. It is truly frightening  I run on autopilot  No higher brain functions. I do manage to get dressed... the socks never seem to match but who looks at people's feet anyway? I can never walk straight though, so something malfunctions in that part of the brain. It is like a pinball machine; I just ping off walls until eventually I end up in the room I want to be. I never communicate in complete sentences unless one can call a sentence composed entirely of swear words communication. Being photophobic does not help. As soon as I realize how light it is I want to cover my face and say 'the light, the light, it burns' hiss and then run and hide in my coffin.

There is nothing good about dawn, unless you happen to be awake still when it occurs. Then you know it is bedtime. Night though is beautiful. It is dark, and dark is good. It is quiet. Peaceful. And apparently it is when I actually wake up.
