All this happens in the car as we are on our way to a restaurant....A song from Bajirao Mastani was playing the background....
Me: BM looks like a good Movie, nice fight scenes et al.
Hubby: ya! but it will have violence which won't be apt for Arnav.
Me: Hmmm! Carwale Dilwale is more apt for him but I am not going to contribute a single penny to SRK's movie. You take him if you want.
Arnav: Mumma! Dilwae main kaun hai (it stars who all??)
I then went on to list the stars...
Arnav: Mumma! who is Varun Dhawan?
Me: Well....aaa!!! hmmm!! Actually you have not seen any of his movies! His or Alia's for that matter...what to do they haven't done a movie with Salman Khan!
I paused at my own absurdity but we moved on *wink*
A little later when we were on our way back a very melodious Song was playing but I wasn't able to remember the name of the movie.
Me: You remember the name of the movie?
Husband: No! But we have seen this movie..
I rack every corner of my memory
Me: It is a very familiar song and I am getting a feeling that it is connected with Salman Khan but somehow the song is so not him.
Hubby: Ya! It has Salman Khan
Though not detectable at that time but I am sure he must have said that sarcastically..
Me: Nah! It isn't featuring him for sure
Arnav: It must be from Hero!
Me: No! Its not Hero; as is it doesn't have Salman Khan.
Arnav: But that song?
Me: ya he was only there for a song!
Arnav: Mumma! Should I tell you the names of all Salman Khan movies?
Husband: *quips sarcastically* In our house there are only two types of movies! One with Salman Khan and the ones without him...
I decided to handle this jibe very maturely and showed my tongue to him!
As we entered inside our home the movies name clicked!
Me: Yaad a gaya!
Him: ???
Me: Its from Singh is King! No wonder I was getting a Salman Khan Vibe from it.
Husband: What? How? It has Akshay Kumar in it na?
Me: Yaa! But it had Katrina Kaif no?
Husband: So?
Me: She was his girl friend na at that time!
And that left him speechless!
P.S. The song was actually, "teri or teri or hay rabba" from Singh is King
