It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday - Nov 6

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Mailbox Monday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Welcome to November! Hard to believe the month of thanksgiving is already here. We are in Wilmington visiting the Lil' Princess for her birthday. Guess what? We have no more teenagers. We survived!

Theo also celebrated a  birthday on November 1.

Last week, I visited the photographer to update my professional photos. What do you think? Which is your favorite?

I am more than 250 words ahead on my NaNoWriMo project. I also have created a few more scenes to help me continue along this writing journey. With dedicating time to writing, I am not reading as much this month. However, I will have books for December.

I finished this one and loved it. The author's latest seasonal novel has all you have come to expect from her stories: love, humor, and dramatic moments. I'm also a firm believer in holding onto the spirit of Christmas throughout the year. Look for my review on November 21.

This review will go live on November 20.

I didn't make it to this one on Audible this week.

I read some of this one in the car. This is a long book, and I'm a little over half way through it.

Upcoming virtual book tours:
  • Resparking Creativity by Fatemah Mirza & Sumayyah Rafiq - November 20 (review)
  • The 12 Months of Christmas by Sheila Roberts - November 21 (review)
  • The King Who Lost His Colors by Glen Liset - November 27 (review at TC&TBC)
  • Scrapper's Christmas Story by Maria J. Andrade - December 4 (review at TC&TBC)
  • The Location Shoot by Patricia Leavy - January 31 (interview)

At Christmas Year Round last week:
  • "This is Halloween" from Tim Burton The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Christmas Errors, Flubs & Fails: AFV 2022
  • Classic Christmas Stories for Children
  • Children's Holiday Little House Stories: A Little House Christmas, Volumes I & II
  • Christmas in the U.S.A. - New York City (from our personal trips)
  • Christmas on Netflix: Angela's Christmas Wish (2020)

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

My physical mailbox was empty last week, but I scooped up this free Kindle seasonal novella, which is the third in a series.

As Bluestar Island prepares for a very special Christmas wedding, Santa’s sleigh crashes into The Lighthouse Café, reuniting Bluestar’s beloved waitress with her former fiancé.

In this holiday novella, Darla Evans has carved out a quiet life for herself as a waitress at The Lighthouse Café. Up until this point, she’s conveniently avoided the one man who shattered her heart and her dreams. But when a wedding draws him back to the island, she knows their meetup is unavoidable.

Tech entrepreneur William “Will” Campbell has returned to his childhood home to be the best man in his father’s wedding. But first his father has a very special task for him—to restore a sleigh in time for the wedding. However, there’s not much time until Christmas. He just might need some help.

As snowflakes cover the small town of Bluestar, Will and Darla work together to make it a very special holiday wedding. With the past looming between them, will the magic of the season open their hearts and allow them to find love again?

Includes a holiday recipe for Darla’s frosted sugar cookies!

Quick question before I let you go. Does anyone else use The Cutest Blog on the Block for their backgrounds? Seems the website is down, so I might be stuck on fall forever. Just curious if you had heard anything.

That's it for me this week. Hope you enjoy your blogging days.
