38th Japan Brontë Society Annual Conference

The Japan Brontë Society is all set to host its 38th Annual Conference. Scheduled for today, October 21, 2023, this conference will take place at the Rissho University Shinagawa Campus, specifically in the 150th-anniversary memorial building on the 7th floor in rooms 1372/137A.

The event kicks off with registration at 9:20 AM and will be guided by Professor Noriko Matsubara, a special lecturer at Chukyo Gakuin University, serving as the overall moderator.

9:50 AM: Inaugural Address by Professor Midori Uematsu, Honorary Professor at Women's College of Japan.
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Research Presentations moderated by Professor Keiko Hattori, Kansai University of Foreign Studies.
  • Exploring Memory and Ghosts: The First-Generation Catherine as a Phantom in "Wuthering Heights" by Akie Echigo, Part-Time Lecturer at Nihon Women's University.
