MyJournal Courier has further information:
The play by Jaclyn Backhaus takes the heroines of “Pride & Prejudice,” “Wuthering Heights,”Jane Eyre” and “Little Women” — Elizabeth Bennet, Cathy Earnshaw, Jane Eyre and Jo March — and sets them down on metaphysical moors at the moment after they reject their suitors and the society that tries to control them.
During the course of the play, which also draws their suitors — Mr. Darcy, Heathcliff, Mr. Rochester and Laurie Laurence — into the mix, the women discover the power of sisterhood and women supporting women.
Daniels picked the “kind of random” play to direct because “it’s so much fun,” she said. (Angela Bauer)
