BLURB:

SOMETIMES THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU IS THE ONE WHO HURTS YOU THE MOST

Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first Love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.

This Book contains graphic scenes and very sensitive subject matter.

MY THOUGHTS:

“Naked truths aren’t always pretty.”

MY NAKED TRUTH: If you’re like me who have read loads of wattpad stories, then you will know that there is nothing in this book which will surprise you.

No matter how cliché this sounds, the romantic sap inside me will always love those clichés. So when I heard this book has broken so many hearts, I wanted it to break my heart too. That’s why I picked up this dangerously hyped book. As I already said nothing surprised me in the book but I’m glad I gave a shot to this book.

It ends with us is a beautiful story of relationship, family, love, friendship and self-esteem. Lily who was grown up in an abusive environment swore that she would never be in that kind of circumstances.  But what will happen when she was thrown into the same situation, she very much hated, she never thought she would be in. Her fate played an awful game with her and brought her on her knees and yet she rose against all the hurdles.

“There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

I never thought I would love these characters. But they were so damn perfect. Let’s do this:

Lily: I loved her from the first chapter itself. Because we both have the same view. I HATE SUICIDES. She was bold and confident. At times, I was proud of her. At times, I loved her. But I never felt annoyed at her. Her thoughts, her actions reminded me of myself. From the outside, we can say anything, but when we put ourselves in their shoes, the confusion and the pain will hit you home. Life will push you so hard, but if only you know how to tackle it to the ground, you will be fine.

Ryle: What I really loved about him? He is passionate about his job. I really find that so appealing. I thought he would be an ideal boyfriend, but we will start to judge a character once we see him at his worst. That’s what happened in this case. I loved him when he was at his best but when some brutal things happened it completely changed my views. And if I was on the same situation as Lily, I would definitely do the same thing as her without any regrets.

“I feel like everyone fakes who they really are, when deep down we’re all equal amounts of screwed up. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.”

Atlas: Like the name sounds, he is a little world. No matter what happens, when you simply look at the Atlas book, you would forget your pain and will think about the countries and places you would want to go. That little moment of happiness is the thing which you need sometimes. I like him to bits and pieces. He is the kind of guy who wants nothing but happiness for you.

“You’re still my favorite person, Lily. Always will be.”

This line reminds me of someone. You-know-the-reason. Two words: Lily, Always. I'm shattered.

really, really, really liked the ending. That’s all guys. This is definitely worth a shot.

MY RATING: Acceptable
