Can I be a candle?

Burning selflessly when lit

Showing others the light,

By removing all darkness.

Can I be a candle?

Standing tall even when

The fire tries to diminish,

Every part of my Existence.

Can I be a candle?

Simple yet so powerful,

Everyone will search for me,

When the light goes out.

Can I be a candle?

Spreading the scent around

That my body has absorbed into,

Creating an environment, so divine.

Can I be a candle?

Only when I’ve realized the

Purpose of my existence to

Be willing to surrender.
