Before I Review any series, I like to see what other readers are thinking about in relation to the individual books within the series, so I read their reviews. Well not all books within a series are well liked and occasionally I come across some really good negative reviews that I can’t keep from laughing out loud or at least smile about, so I thought I would share a few of them with you too. As the poet John Lydgate would say, “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.
Anonymous review on Barnes and Noble gave Rachel Amplett’s Under Fire a one star. Now, why is this important?
I am sick and tired of seeing these free books with NO number of pages listed. PUT THE NUMBER OF PAGES INTO THE DESCRIPTION, WHAT PART OF THAT DONT YOU UNDERSTAND???????

I had a bad feeling about this one before I even started it. It might have been that I had slept the night before in a dumpster behind a Shell station in New Jersey. Or, maybe it was because I’d been eating nothing but Mcdonald’s leftovers after dumpster diving for a week. Not sure…

Moon Donkey from Amazon is at it again and gave A.G. Riddle’s The Atlantis Gene a one star rating. Illegal immigrants? Perhaps.
Come on. Really? Come on.
Some books I like. Some books I don’t like. But I really don’t like being conned. I flat our don’t believe the review statistics on this book. At the time of this review, nearly 6,000 people have reviewed it and the 4 and 5 star reviews encompass almost all of those.
For comparison sake, Ready Player One was a top-reviewed almost cultish favorite and that book only has about 2,800 reviews. Enders game is a popular classic with a recent movie and that book has about 7,500 reviews. If you take a look at Amazon’s Best Books of 2013, the favorites generally range between 2,000 reviews and 6,000 reviews. Now – given those numbers does it seem reasonable that this book has over 6,000 reviews? I don’t buy it.
Ok… so how do you explain 6,000 reviews for this book? Shenanigans! That’s how. I’m calling Shenanigans!
VK from Amazon gave A.G. Riddle’s The Atlantis Gene a one star rating. All I have to say is touché!
Oh, and any book which uses the word “ex-Patriot” to refer to a someone working in a foreign country simply should NOT be published.
Mike Jasinski from Goodreads gave Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Steel Kiss a one star rating. Now, now Mike, anyone that criticizes someone on their poor sentence structure and grammar should make sure that they have good sentence structure and grammar.
Hard to read, poor sentence structure, poor grammar. Too much work quit after 3 pages!
Christy from Goodreads gave Iris Johansen’s novel Night and Day, the last book in a trilogy, a two star rating.
Can’t believe I asked for this little trilogy for Christmas. Figures this was the one time Santa listened.

Jim Cornwell on Goodreads reviewed Douglas E. Richard’s novel Wired and gave it a one star rating.
This is a terrible book. I could actually feel myself becoming more stupid as I continued to read. I guess that’s how it gets you.
Kelly Proulx from Goodreads reviewed Lincoln Child’s Terminal Freeze and gave it a two star. Perhaps the title Terminal Freeze and the fact the cover has a picture of the Aurora Borealis may have given you a clue.
Ehhh. I never love books set in the Artic or in another ice covered area. Not my fave. But, if you like ice as a primary setting, this book is for you!
