Nevertheless, I found it interesting and infuriating to hear billionaires at Davos poo-poo the slight measures called for by AOC for a New Green Deal (much needed) and for a way to move us forward. Of course none wanted their power taken away. And of course, they came up with the worst grandstanding ever. Basically the whole anything good in this world we'll take credit for (advocated for by the likes of Pinker et al).  So read the article and find out why the whole "poverty has been reduced" bit is propaganda by the super rich to make you feel bad about trying to change the status.
