Reading Wrap-Up – August 2020

Another month is ending. Goodbye August, you were another weird month in a very strange year. I do believe I’ve run out of ways to describe the times we’re living in. Unprecedented doesn’t cover it. I would like to go back to PRECEDENTED times, thank you (as far as pandemics go that is).

Until that time I will keep on keeping on. In that spirit, I’m here to share with you the books I read this month!

A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow (Young Adult)

The Black Death by Dorsey Armstrong (Nonfiction)

Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks (Re-read)

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay C. Gibbons (Nonfiction)

The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (Re-read)

Stamped From the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi (Nonfiction)

My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie

The Truths We Hold by Kamala Harris (Nonfiction)

It was a good month of books with lots of nonfiction, a couple of comforting re-reads, #OwnVoices, and even a dash of YA fantasy.

How was your month in reading? I want to hear about it!
