Change your mind change your life sounds too simple. At first glance, it may be hard to believe that Thinking differently could create new experiences. Yet, if you consider how your mood shifts as you focus on new topics, you may start to see the connection between thoughts and experience.

Habitual Thinking And Repetitive Emotional States

Admittedly, this can get foggy if you engage in habitual thinking or Repetitive Emotional States. For example, if you start to focus on work projects as soon as you wake in the morning, you might teach  your brain to feel stressed or overwhelmed early in the day. Do that, and you could feel sorrow, anger or irritated even when you wake on a holiday or on the weekend.

If you’re not watchful, the next step that you complete might be to align emotions to specific days of the week, times of the day, people or places. Should this happen, you might convince yourself that Mondays are bad days or that long vacations are bad (especially if all you do is worry about work the longer you stay signed out of the office). That’s how easy it is to train your brain to create thoughts that create experiences and mood attachments.

Here’s more. The University of Minnesota shares that, “Thoughts are mental cognitions—our ideas, opinions, and beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. They include the perspectives we bring to any situation or experience that color our point of view (for better, worse, or neutral).” Furthermore, it’s shared that, “if you are aware of your thoughts and attitudes, you can choose to change them.”

Change your thinking change your life rewards generally don’t just show up. In fact, it could take up to 30 days to shift. An important key to yield change your mind change your life results is to get clear about what you want.

Be still and discover your destiny. To do this, consider which actions (also referred to as passions) cause you to feel joy and peace. Also, you can write down activities that motivate you toward action. These are activities that come with their own built-in motivators. It’s as though these activities are part of your being, you love engaging in them so much.

Examples of these activities include singing, wood carving, painting, teaching, public speaking and conducting research. For me, it’s writing novels.

Your passions are likely linked to your destiny. To discover your destiny, you may have to spend 20 minutes a day completing meditations to heal your life. As a tip, choose a meditation time that you’re generally more relaxed during. It might be in the morning or that time, for you, could be in the evening after you’ve finishing working, enjoyed a warm shower or bath and believe that you have time to relax.

Why Discovering Your Destiny Is Important

Why is this important? To change your mind change your life, it helps to believe that the reward associated with the task is so worth it. Feelings of joy and peace are rewarding. When it’s as easy as writing a novel, singing a song or researching cells in a lab for you to enter into peace, that’s a real win.

And, once you discover your destiny, the rewards of doing what it takes to change your thinking change your life may become powerful motivators. Those are rewards: peace, joy and engaging in activities that you love. But, just how do you change Limiting Thoughts, especially if you’ve been engaging in limiting thoughts for years?

  • Practice awareness – Actually become aware of what you are thinking. A time when you might already be doing this (and place a lot of emphasis on your thoughts) is when you remember your night dreams. Have a vivid dream that’s loaded with action, dialogue and strong emotions and you might believe that the dream is offering you guidance or hinting at what’s coming up in your life. But, the fact is that you’re thoughts are powerful whether they’re expressed during night dreams or all-throughout the day. So, start to become aware of your thoughts.
  • Acknowledge memory – See how you’ve been linking thoughts to emotions. Another tip is to see how you’ve been linking thoughts to different types of lighting, seasons, people, places, phrases, etc. Keep in mind that, you can change your mind change your life even if you’ve been thinking a certain way for years.

  • Listen to meditation tapes that are made with recordings that clearly show you receiving (right now receiving, not receiving in the future) what you want, receiving more and more of what causes you to feel joy.
  • Visualize yourself doing and having what causes you to feel joy expansions.
  • Stay free of trying to figure out how mind will achieve what you want. Just focus on what you want and accept that you are worth receiving what causes you to enter into joy and peace.
  • Forgive if you are holding a past event or a past experience against yourself or someone else. Heads up. You might have to practice forgiveness on the same experience several times before you actually forgive and let go. Just keep going. You will succeed if you truly want to forgive and you don’t give up.
  • Get out of your head and into your life – Okay. This may sound like an oxymoron. Yet, it isn’t. To change your mind change your life, don’t over think. In other words, don’t try to figure everything out. Good living calls for courage and trust.

Should you struggle to stir your courage and trust while you’re trying to change your thinking change your life, replay a time in your life when you exhibited courage. Replay a time in your life when you did trust and a situation turned out good. Give yourself proof that you can do it.

Your Life Matters

Additionally, take small actions toward what you want. For instance, you could apply to work for a research firm if doing research work is what causes you to feel joy. That’s a step of trust. Keep applying to firms until you land a gig. Then, keep applying to different jobs at the firm until you gain the research experience that you want.

Who knows?  You might end up starting your own research company and doing life changing work. The key is to keep trusting and to keep taking forward steps. Here’s another tip. Do yourself a huge favor and treat yourself and others with love and respect.

This single choice could keep you from building blocks that can only be removed with faith and forgiveness. Loving yourself and others can also keep your mind clear of fear. However, even if you have to work your way to forgiveness and use visualization, meditations to heal your life, listen to meditation tapes and spot links from the past that you’re letting impact you today, keep going. Your life matters. You deserve to experience the life that you want. And, you are so worth joy!!
