Eliza is deathly afraid of multiple things, heights being number one. While attempting to push herself outside her comfort zone, she meets Jay Sanders, a tourist visiting for one day only.

He offers to help her overcome her fear of heights; the catch is she has to be willing to spend the day with a perfect stranger.

Will Eliza take a challenge and accept Jay’s help? Or will she run away in fear?

I am a sucker for a good, cute novella and this one did not disappoint.

I absolutely loved how the author portrayed the anxiety around phobias and how it feels when you try to overcome them. Taking a Chance read like a Hallmark movie, and I savored every last word.

Rating: Mild. A few sweet kisses and a few instances of moderate profanity.
