Apr. 21-22, 2017... 5PM (F) 10am-5PM (S)... 16th Annual Gardendale Magnolia Festival Gardendale Civic Center 875 Main St. Gardendale, AL 35071 - Presented by Gardendale Magnolia Festival, Inc. - Superfriends 5KRun, Car Show, Pooch Parade, Kids 'N Art, Carnival, Cookie Eating Contest, Fishing tournament, Food Vendors and Vendor Village Booths. Our 3 Stages of entertainment include Russtaff, Brentwood Revival, Boomtown, County Wyde, Hollye, Logan Pace and Hailee. Our mission is to provide visitors with an economical, family-friendly experience, promote local businesses, tourism, and volunteerism in the Greater Gardendale area. The proceeds of the festival benefit college scholarships for local high school seniors. The festival chooses two charities each year to promote, feature, and benefit in some way. The 2017 featured charities are Jimmie Hale Mission and The Foundry Ministries. Volunteerism is highly promoted and rewarded in the Gardendale Magnolia Festival. We believe in teaching children the importance of volunteering at an early age. In order to qualify to apply for the Gardendale Magnolia Festival scholarships, each applicant must complete at least 3 hours of volunteerism for the festival. The judging criteria is heavily weighted on their overall volunteerism and service to the community. The festival also recognizes two Volunteers of the Year; one student and one adult.
