The Cave

With their natural night vision, the group ventured into the cavern and descended a staircase, making their way to an octagonal chamber. Four stone pillars stood tall at its centre, but the party’s attention was quickly drawn to the three skeletal figures lurking within. One rested on each side of the room, and another stood ominously on the far end.

Azreal drew back an arrow, ready to strike, as Daphne unleashed a fiery bolt. Their combined attack landed a solid blow on the skeletons, but it only seemed to anger them further. Two of the bony figures charged forward, swords clanging against Ryuk’s own blades. Meanwhile, the third skeleton loosed an arrow that grazed Ryuk’s arm, eliciting a curse from the warrior.

The battle raged on, with Ryuk valiantly holding his ground against the relentless assault of the two skeletons. Daphne and Azreal continued to pelt the enemy with spells and arrows, their attacks whistling through the air with deadly accuracy. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, all three skeletons lay defeated on the cold, hard ground.

Daphne approached the fallen foes, searching for any valuable loot, but all she found were tattered rags and rusty weapons. The party breathed a collective sigh of relief.

The party pressed forward, their footsteps echoing through the musty halls. As they came to a branching path, they decided to investigate the room on their left. Pushing open the door, they were greeted by a dimly lit chamber, choked with cobwebs that clung to the ceiling and walls like a shroud.

A single old chair sat in the centre of the room, its wooden frame creaking softly as the party cautiously approached. The air was thick with dust, and the floorboards groaned underfoot as they shifted their weight. Despite their thorough search, the room yielded nothing of value, leaving the party to continue their exploration with a growing sense of unease.

With a sense of determination, the party returned to the main room and set their sights on the door at the opposite end. As they pushed it open, the musty scent of decay hit their nostrils, and they cautiously stepped inside.

One side of the room was strewn with rubble, evidence of the gradual decay that had been slowly consuming the ancient structure. A lone chest sat on the other side, its once-impressive form now almost completely rotted away. Undeterred, the party pried off the lid, revealing a small bag of gleaming gold coins. The party exchanged looks of silent agreement and split the treasure evenly among themselves. Who knew what other dangers and treasures Lay Ahead on their quest?

The party retraced their steps, making their way back to the main hall. They turned their attention to the door opposite the entrance, but it was locked tight. Ryuk, never one to be deterred, readied himself and charged at the door with all his might.

With a resounding crash, the door shattered off its hinges, and Ryuk stumbled forward into the darkened chamber beyond. As he regained his balance, he caught sight of a lone skeleton shambling towards him, its bony fingers reaching out hungrily.

Without hesitation, Ryuk swung his mighty axe with all his might, cleaving the skull of the skeletal creature with a single, powerful blow. The rest of the party watched in awe as Ryuk emerged from the room, the sound of shattering bones echoing in his wake. Whatever lay ahead, they knew that they could rely on Ryuk’s unmatched strength and skill to see them through.

The party deliberated for a moment before deciding to explore the left side of the cave. They soon found themselves in a room that led to a dead end, forcing them to backtrack to their original path. After passing the entrance room, they stumbled upon another empty chamber, save for a dusty old shelf covered in cobwebs. As they began to clear away the cobwebs, they discovered a mysterious potion unlike any they had seen before.

After some discussion, Azreal decided to take the potion and store it away carefully in his bag. With newfound excitement and anticipation, the party eagerly continued their exploration, passing through a door to their left.

What they found was both awe-inspiring and terrifying. The room was surrounded by an impenetrable darkness, with only a single passage leading forward. To their left and right were gaping holes, deep pits that seemed to stretch on forever. Curiosity getting the better of him, Ryuk picked up a small stone and tossed it over the edge. They waited for what felt like an eternity, but no sound reached their ears.

Undaunted by the ominous void around them, the party cautiously pressed forward. As they made their way deeper into the darkness, they saw a faint light flickering in the distance. Their hearts racing with excitement and trepidation, they continued onward, eager to discover the secrets that lay ahead.
